1983 SWB C10. Currently dropping in a 383 but will be lowering it soon. Already has 18" Ridlers and fair paint. I want to take it to the next step and do the BellTech 3/4 drop(spindles). Anyone have pics of this, or something similar. Anything to look out for....it needs ball joints/tlc so new...
Monza, yeah I agree. Good idea on the mechanical gauge. I have one but will need to find it. I still do not believe it is warming up...the upper hose never gets to hot to hold. Never.
CSFJ, this is the 3rd Tstat. Last time I made certain it was all good and clear. None of the others looked...
That is good to know. I will double check but the gauge was purchased for this specific model as was the sender. The other sender is larger as confirmed at Napa. We had the same issue prior to the new guage….the new gauge just showed up as part of a mistake on cleaning the old one and breaking...
1984 -C10 with a 4.1(250c.i.d.) inline 6. Was doing fine, then one day it would not show warm on the gauge. Replaced thermostat, seemed to work for a little while then back to showing cool. Gauge will not move off of "C".
We redid the interior on the truck and my son broke the gauge needle...
HA, HA, the only time I like the wormy dog look is on a big 4x4 running big tires...thinking of running some 18" Ridler 645 Matte or Chrome and getting a level stance but not low. Kid's truck so I don't need him grinding speed bumps etc. Wheels, with fresh two tone blue and silver and maybe a...
Thanks Mike. Wish I could see the look on a truck. Seems everyone lowers both the front and rear and more so than what I want to do.
It looks good, just not sure I want to go full blown yet.
Not wanting to lower the front of the truck and curious if anyone has done a rear drop only to level the trucks out and get rid of the rake.
Thinking 1 1/2 or 2 inches in the rear and some 18's would look pretty good with no rake.
Not as good as going lower but good for quick and easy.
Pics...
Just an update as I was gone for a few days. Swapped the old park/washer solenoid on to the new set-up. Verified the wiring and checked the switch. Hooked it up, no smoke, but no spray either. Ended up priming the pump and everything works as it should. Thanks for the help from all those that...
Thank you for the help Chengny, that is what I was looking for. I will get back on it tonight hopefully if time allows. I did verify that the one wire has 12V and the other grounds when the switch is pushed, although it did not ground out completely according to my multimeter. it was .53 or so...
New to the forum, and some good info on here. I need some help.
Truck is an 1983 C-10 4x2 with 250-i6. This is a pretty clean project truck for my son who will be driving in 6 months. One of a few issues it has is with the wiper/washer. The OEM part was working fine but not the washer. I...
