    The switch and wiring is different. It was a complete swap over ,dash switch,wiring and switch valve all had to be changed.

    You can swap out the shift gate on the column with one from a later square body or OBS Chevy, that's what I used on mine.

    How come i can only get 2 port, ported vacuum switch for my 1978 c10 350. Oe part has 3 port brown in color. Lives on thermostat hihousing.

    the hard part is figuring out the part numbers on emissions parts. My 77 used a 3 port switch . the numbers i have for it in my notes are Wells E9121 or standard PVS6. it might be a ebay part.

    The electric choke opens at one speed so the down side is on really cold days it sometimes opens to fast (stalls out)and on warm days opens to slow (hi idle).     changed out the wheel studs that were too short fronts were simple press in the rears I had to drill and cut to size
