It's a boost box. Using compressed air for a 10 second boost would require more than just enough air. If the boost box is cheap though...

Those boxes are also what they commonly use to turbo charge carbureted cars. Two cents: I don't think you would get sufficient volume...

Out in the Midwest at least, stacked frames were kind of ‘common’ at one point. Not really on drivers, but county fair type ‘exhibition’...
