    Low oil pressure but engine runs great

    I have the same issue. My guage shows 7 psi and barely moves. I hooked a manual guage up and instead of 7, it read 52 psi. The guages are not always accurate.

    Interesting. The radiator was painted by a previous owner, should I consider that as a possibility? Other than that, cooling system is like new. Radiator is very clean. Would like a 180 degree thermostat help the issue?
