Suburban Rear Heat & AC removal/installation/compatability

If anyone is interested in a full suburban rear ac I have one down in houston that I’m about to remove. Just need to figure out how to disconnect it from the front unit and plug it off

    Radiator recommendations for 6.6l 400

Any suggestions? Truck is running pretty hot with coolant coming out of the cap after driving for 10mins or so in traffic.

    Radiator recommendations for 6.6l 400

I’ve got a pretty much bone stock 76 k20 suburban with the 400 engine. The radiator lip was broken so it won’t seal properly with a cap. Coolant was totally rusty when I bought it and the inside of the radiator is super rusty as well. The replacement size from Lmc is much smaller than the...

    Temp gauge not working

pull the sender wire(dark green) off the sending unit and run a jumper from that to the negative battery terminal. Turn the key on. If the gauge doesn't peg to hot then you likely have an issue with the gauge or the wiring. Might also want to check and make sure you have a thermostat...

    No power at temp gauge

Well it seems the problem is that there was no thermostat installed and once I installed a 195 thermostat the gauge works and sits just left of the middle line once the engine warms up.

    No power at temp gauge

behind the parking break is the fuse box. I did find 2 grounds attached to the metal bracket at top of the parking brake. Cleaned them and reinstalled still no change

    No power at temp gauge

Yes ive seen all these numbers. But every sensor ive tested out of the box has like 6-800 ohms resistance lying flat on a table. Does that resistance change when it's screwed into the block? and all of the ones ive tried screw in to the engine correctly so threading isn't an issue

    No power at temp gauge

How could there be a bad ground on the sending unit if it is threaded in the engine block? What am I missing here? I tested another new sending unit I bought(which other forums said is the only one that will work) and it had 530ohms resistance out of the box

    No power at temp gauge

Ive got the sender with the round terminal that fits the Packard connector on the sender wire. I thought the later senders had a spade connector.

    No power at temp gauge

cold and out of the truck the sending unit tests about 600 ohms. I installed the sending unit and let the engine run for a bit to get hot and then tested the sending unit and grounded to a bolt on the ac bracket and got like 200ohms Gauge still reads just above cold. tried a different used...

    No power at temp gauge

Update-- I did find a small cut in the green wire. I replaced that section of wire and still have the same issue. Temp gauge stuck on cold. If I remove the gauge and move the needle to hot then replug the gauge back in it flips back to cold immediately. I have tried another gauge and that...

    No power at temp gauge

Sending unit wire seems to be good. What is the 18pin? When I ground the sending unit wire to battery gauge pegs full. If I manually move the needle to the right and then turn the key on the needle goes back to cold.

    No power at temp gauge

76 3/4 ton suburban. All gauges work except the temp gauge. Replaced the sending unit, gauge still won't move. When I ground the sensor wire the gauge pegs past full. I pulled the gauge and used a multimeter to test the receptacles where the gauge plugs into the cluster. Driver side plug...
