Great time to post your write up thread link and get a bump on it O77. Dig it up, at least let him see it and if he wants to take on that much work and if its what he wants. :High 5:

Here's the link to my mod: http://www.gmsquarebody.com/forum/showthread.php?t=375

It's rather involved but well worth it if you're wanting a "upgrade" and a fold down center console type. With this I can sit 3 people in the cab with seat belts but still have the fold down console when it's just me in there. I also like the integrated seat belts a lot (the main reason I went this route) and the seats are extremely comfy.

I've got seats from a 2000ish Chevy, with the intergrated seat belts also. It definitely do able. I only have $115.00 in mine.

My goal was to make it all look as clean and "factory" as possible when done. Every person who's ever looked it at a show or cruise night as assumed that the seats just fit right in until I point out what had to be modded. If I'd cut into the seat brackets instead I'm not so sure I could have accomplished that :)

I bought a set of buckets and a fold down console from a company i can`t remember but they said they would fit, they even sent a bracket to bolt them to.

Well they bolted up fine then i tried to get in the truck and i could barely get my leg under the steering wheel. Needless to say i sent that crap back for a refund.

My search for a good set of suburban buckets continues.

Which is exactly why we did it how we did to avoid that exact same issue. Suburban seats will be fine but mods will still be necessary (probably just to the brackets) due to the gas tank humps in the cab.

I didn't think it be so involved I just want the folding center console. What about seats out of an 88+ truck seats? Or a 90's suburban?

my dad hooked me up with 2001 burban seats and the center console for $100 then it was $80 in gas to get to his part of town and back but their sweet cherry and fully electric, im just glad im skinny because i barely fit between steering wheel, planning to do like old but they work OK now, and they make it so no one else can drive my truck.... my fiance can fit but isnt strong enough for the clutch lol
