Wiring questions 84 to 87 swap

Im putting a complete engine transmissions transfer case swap in my 84 K10 from a 87. I have the wiring harness off the engine but don’t believe it’s as easy as unplugging one and plugging in the other. I have one cluster of wires that goes through the fire wall just a little off center and the other looks like it needs to plug into the back of the fuse panel. I think I will need a fuse panel out of a 87 and I know i need a ecu but where does it go and what else do I need? Thanks for the help

Gas tank and fuel pump should be different.
Bulk head unbolts off the firewall. Unbolt it grab it all. Inside harness plug too if you’re gunna do it. Save you moving wires around and tracing everything out

1987 had different wiper washer pump feed locations in the front lighting section vs the engine connector side, and the fuel gauge sending unit feed is in the rear lighting connector so yes it’s just different enough to be a pita.
