Getting to my shackle flip and rear leaf swap soon, didn't want to sketch it up anymore after the axle swaps. These will be much safer!

Big dogs, mainly for the height.

Also finally got a five gallon bucket full of evaporust and have been putting that to work.

I think a flip kit on that trailer is very interesting.

It's a 67-72 coil spring setup. Come on ricko!! It's already got coil spring spacers

It's definitely not the choice I would do for a trailer for sure. Not real stable side to side as a tripod lol. Will be swapping the leaf springs onto this and coil setup to my 70.

$200 and it's pretty mint. Steel floor. Done a bunch of work to it, doing some painting and it's ready for full service. Have used it a few times already.

Anyways, the big hoss jackstands are for the 4wd lifted burb. Not the trailer lol

I still wanna build a bed trailer

I picked up these pliers at an antique store over the weekend. They were marked $15 and everything was 20% off this weekend and then there was another discount at checkout. Got 'em for $8

I don't have any pics of it, but I used to have a 8' bed trailer made from a totaled GMT400 X-Cab. I kick myself in the ass for getting rid of it. It was a great trailer, towed beautiful. It was half ton, red crimson with the silver 2 tone center. Had a full bed and tailgate liner, coffin tool box in front of the headboard for storage, Class 3 hitch.

That's exactly what I wanna do, build one to match my truck with a toolbox on the front and a matching tonneau cover or maybe a camper shell (though that'd just be a big parachute on trips). I originally wanted to do an 8' cuz it would tow better but our marketing guy wants me to do a 6'. I guess if I just did a long tongue it would be ok

Yup, most trailers don't have long springs and shocks. Tows smooth as silk. It's cool having the taillights all wired up too. I hauled 5 loads of stone for my driveway with that thing. Took a beating.

A pickup box trailer is a must for suburban guys! Also ND is pretty cool since we don't have to register them.

Speaking of tail lights, had some led tail lights from the 70 so I did a whole wiring harness and tail lights, will be adding the marker lights in place of reflectors.

Did tires, buffed the entire thing, new hitch, saftey chains, shock mounts, new shocks, plated the bends on the frame(were cracked out), diff breather, diff service, lights, wiring harness, tailgate, painted wheels and tailgate, am currently painting bumper and front frame section.

Also have the square trailer dedicated as scrap hauler/storage. She's pretty rough body wise.

While I have been fixin on stuff, sometimes the tools I have aren't quite able to do what I need without undue contortions or bending/scratching/breaking something. Then I search for a tool that solves the issue(s).

Pair of 6" Made in USA Crescent bent nose pliers

I've been fighting with corrosion and bad contacts for a while on a couple of vehicles, and this looked like it covered all the bases. These look like they'll cover all the different prospects.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Not really.

But I've tried a number of other makeshift solutions that just didn't do the job.

And it says Made In USA (with foreign components) which always makes me leery. It was a little less on Amazon with free shipping as opposed to buying from the manufacturer's website.

If it works, it will be worth it.

My buddy's grandfather-in-law got some bad news recently, he's only got 6mo-1yr left most likely. He's ~mid-80s but was a firefighter from 17, too many house fires when he was young (before they had equipment) so he's got real bad pulmonary fibrosis on top off some cancer they found. He's started to go through things, selling things, etc to make sure his wife is set for the rest of her life. He gave my buddy a whole bunch of hand tools, told him to go through them for anything he needs, then to call me to see what I wanted and then to sell whatever's left. He's a great guy and was an old hotrodder when he was younger, I've always enjoyed talking to him.

My buddy hasn't gone through much yet but I spotted these two while at their house yesterday and he told me I could have them. An old Mac long reach double open end wrench

And this is what caught my eye first cuz I've been looking for a set ever since @legopnuematic posted up a couple he scored, a set of Stripmasters! They need to be cleaned and lubed but they still seem to work very well. These will get put to work very soon as I redo the wiring on my truck
