My 1980 GMC regular cab K30 needs a new windshield, what years will interchange?

I would just check eBay for the part, and then check the listing to see all the vehicles that the part will fit. A lot of the listings have a big long list of all the rigs that it can go on. Then just work that list backwards to find your info.

All squarebody windshields are the same size and interchangeable. Aside from tint band on top, the only difference is integrated antenna or not.

If you have the windshield radio antenna, and plan to use your radio, you probably want it on the new one.

Thank you for the replies! It does have the inner antenna for the radio, they're on the internet for $120 to $150, jegs has them for $127 free shipping. It's cheaper than I expected!

I just saw that too. Contemplating putting a new windshield in the ‘77. Free shipping on oversized glass seems like a no brainer.
Get a Precision seal and lock strip.

Has anyone reused the lock strip from the old windshield? I have the glass and seal but did not get a new strip thinking I would not need it. Now not so sure.

Don’t do it right because you did it twice. For the low cost get new lockstrip.

Any tricks to getting the new seal installed on the pinch weld? Arthur has been no help at all. Cannot get it to go in at the corners for nuthin

Done it twice now. Both times took 8+hrs and 2 windshields. Pay somebody. It's so much easier that way

I have the dash out. Think I need to remove pillar and top trim moldings for more room to work. This really hurts yours hands and fingers.

Both times I've had a windshield done in my '85, they didn't pull the A-pillar moldings out. Nor the dash. The last time the did it, earlier this year, they were done and gone in less than 30min
