not true well maybe a bit... but if the F32432King liberals would let them pumps run we have much cheaper fuel and that pipe line as well......................we have enough oil here to not buy from sand people.............................
Yup, that's an easy line to swallow. A lot of people do when they lose their memory and can't compare gas prices between administrations...

Blaming the government for the price of a world commodity is, short sighted, at best. But it's easier to blame a politician than get up to speed with how stuff actually works.

And why the fuuk are we introducing politics into "What have you done to your square lately?"

Replaced the wiper motor on my truck. It has been a problem for several years. I learned that there is power always going to the motor when the key is on. The switch on the column grounds the wire, thus completing the circuit. The old motor wouldn't run on the high speed, and barely work on the low speed. I bought a new AWI motor from O'Reilly's.

Hate to tell you this Buddy... but anti or pro, oil prices are going to rise. The Saudi's are in control of the world market regardless of who's in the White House.

And wouldn't it be great if people who claim to understand how markets work actually understood how markets work?

So do you think it's just a coincidence that fuel hit record prices under 0bama, then dropped way down under Trump, then back up under Biden?

See... this is how conflating politics into a discussion of commodity prices clouds issues. Blaming administrations instead of understanding how the market works and who has the greatest influence. As though some guy with limited influence is in charge... instead of those that really do have the power. It was no more Dubbya's fault for the highest price ever on a barrel of oil than it was anyone else's for prices in their own times. But people tend to forget when that high price happened when they politicize the debate.

So, what I have done…
As of this month/year:
* I replaced the tires, went from:
Front: P235 / 60R15
Rear: P295 / 50R15
To:
P235 / 75R15 front and rear, it fixed the terrible wobble, that kept me from getting the truck on the road.

* Replaced the door strikers, (this was annoying me a lot) now no need to shut the doors so hard

*Replaced the door light switches, I picked up some OEM replacements from eBay, and now cabin dome and floor lights work as they should.

Upholstery guy got my seat done early, so I had to rush today. Thankfully the rain held off. Lots of cleaning, threw down some Kilmat sound deadening on the floor and rear cab wall, new AAC carpet kit, and then I could finally put the seat back in. Need to trim the carpet behind the seat still, but good enough for now. Looks and smells a LOT cleaner!

If the weather holds out tomorrow, maybe I'll get the glow plugs swapped, and change the oil. Then I can finally go back to enjoying my new Daily Driver. :)

Happy Saturday my squarebody “rounded-line” guys! New to the forums here and just thought I’d show my slowly but surely rebuild of my 1977 C20 squarebody crew cab converted to a short bed, 4x4, all 1/2 running gear with 6.0 swap and built TH350. Doing a complete tear town with all body work and paint. Some progress pictures… been 2 years since the year down. Lots of hidden fun stuff under that old bondo/ paint haha!

Been thinking on whether or not to sell my wrecked K5.
One of my Bros and I picked up a 79 chassis. Crustier than I like, but solid.
It whupped both of our be-hinds just getting it to my house.
I have to face up that I'm old and just can't do this stuff anymore.
I feel it will appeal to a young pup type who wants to build it his way and to the purist, as it's all numbers matching still.
If I can get 6 or 7k with the extra chassis, I'll be o.k., when added with what the insurance gave me to repair it.

Looking in the mirror and admitting I'm just plain worn out is hard.
