Haven’t done any work to the 77 lately but I’m ramping up work on my 99 tahoe in adding a third row :)
Any plans to find another burb?

Yeah. Probably in a year or so once my youngest is in a booster seat. He’s in a seat now that requires a shoulder belt and square burbs don’t have shoulder belts other than the front seats. So once he’s in a booster I’ll track down another Burb. I miss my 87 so much :(

Flip the boards and clear them. That would look sweet.
I was thinking the same thing since the top side of the boards are covered in oil anyways

Front bake job ugh. K2500. I had to 'machine' one rotor on the inside. Amazing how fast metal to metal with hydraulic pressure behind it will cause drama. So out came my 4" side grinder with flap wheel to dress up the terror. Also I changed about 1/2 the brake fluid. Stuff looked like coffee. I'll get more and do a few more suck and squirt sessions to get the old grimy oil gone.

Bottom of the line pads in Canada cost me with tax $60. Fuggers.

I've installed a brake pad backwards right after I had the stupid rotor turned so I know what you mean on that. It was slightly past it's spec width so maybe it was for the best.

Floor of bed...OUT ! I had no idea there were so many friggin bolts to remove...geez.

Now I am in the process of mock fitting the rear tubs to the much needed height for added rear axle clearance. The body drop will be 7-1/4" in order to accommodate the air ride being installed in the truck. Next will be to chop the frame and fabricate the rear bridge.

Tomorrow I plan on picking up the steel tubing to fabricate the new bedframe at the adjusted height.

What did you do to your square body today?
FYI...I merged the thread you started with the thread that has already been around for quite a while :waytogo:

What’s your time frame? Your moving right along with this.

I was initally thinking 3 years..........but I wanted to get a jump start with summer approaching. Its hard to be motivated to anything (especially welding ) when its almost as hot as the surface of the sun. Dry heat or not...it sucks. All I want to do in the summer time is stay indoors, crack open a cold beer and maybe lounge in the pool. Even being in the pool is hot.

I didn't book anymore business for this and next week in order to set aside time for this project (shhhh...don't let my clients know).

Stared wistfully at my 86 sitting behind a 4' snow bank in my yard waiting till summer when I can trailer it out my road to my shop and do a crank swap. :(
