Gathering parts for the cs144 to show parts that I feel should be replaced b4 install... made a new square body parts contact in Plano, tx. Got a dam near new HD rotor, drum, and drip rails for the square for $30 just got to find time to put em on now too much work...

Dealer? I think i paid 3 each. They were even able to look up the proper keys i was supposed to have so now i have good gm keys rather than duplicates of duplicates

Yes. We compared them to the duplicates, they had a lot more detail, so it was a little questionable as to if they would work, but they worked waaaaayyyy better than my duplicates or who knows how many duplicates

But if your locks and ignition are still original you should be OK, i gambled on mine and it paid out

I tried that but it was soon apparent that some one had replaced the tumbler with something from another vehicle all together. But I still got keys cut that work which none of the hardware stores could do.

GM sent their mobile guy to fix me up. same guy who fixed all their cobolts lol

Exhaust time!

Finally installed a new exhaust. Went from some unknown-brand mufflers turned-down in front of the rear axle to a set of Flowmaster Super 44s run through mandrel-bent flowmaster tail pipes out the back. I'm loving the sound/look of it, plus it took about an hour to install. Not too bad! I like the sound, at there is almost no drone in the cab anymore - it was REALLY bad before. I'll post pics once I get the tips and H-pipe installed. For now here are some before/during (oh yes)/after videos. I hope they work!

With no mufflers - I just cut them off and let the pipes hang (wife was with me - you think she liked it?):

Removed 4 trash bags worth of floor insulation, dirt, broken glass, straw, trash, random debris,... out of the bed and floorboard of my new '84. Getting it all cleaned up so I can decide where to start fixing it.

found my dragging front right wheel issue...argh!!

finished drivers door weather stripping
swapped fuel tank switch (everything works now, just need to get some gas to test out drivers side tank!) i know it will die if i swap to it because it is currently empty

need to finish passenger door, it just doesn't want to line up because the PO ****** up the regulator mounting.

can almost get it out of my garage!
