Got it for free. Father in law bought it new in 80. Unfortunately a tree fell on it so now she’s a mix of I don’t know how many trucks to date. Almost ready for the first road test

$2000 for the truck $500 for a transferred title. I’m up by the Alabama line in Florida, older stuff in AL is just bill of sale so titles get lost and never transferred. Guy who had this one got me a title on it for 500 over asking.

81 short wheel base, Scottsdale badged, complete with minor rust. Motor was locked up from sitting since 2001. Smog 305 with 4 speed New Process (A833 chrylsler trans made for GM)

81 is my birth year and my first vehicle was a 4 speed manual truck. So it hit all the buttons for nostalgia for me.

Got the motor freed up over 2 weekends and ran it for a bit till it started knocking. In the process of swapping in a 6.0 LQ4 now.

Few months ago. Rust only in the rockers and where the door seals no longer sealed.

Almost 100% stock inside and out. 350 with turbski 400. C20 ~custom deluxe~ 3+3 long bed. Damn thing is LONG. Three lane of space required to make a u turn lol. Parking it can sometimes be like that Austin powers scene.

Runs and drives, drove it 250 miles home.

$3,000. Location: middle of nowhere Georgia

Yep my OBS crew cab is the same way! You learn real quick, to swing out on turns, what drive throughs are too tight, plan your lane changes and turns, and pull through parking spaces are your friends and parking garages are not!
21 feet, not counting the trailer hitch and brush guard....
One of its nicknames is "the tiny truck"....

$250 cdn, from an estate sale. Now mind you I did have to go out of my way and drive a whole 1-1/2 hours to pick it up ;). Two days later my son and I had it running and drove it around the backroads.

She ain't purdy, but I just dropped $1000 on it. I'm the third owner, first one not a farmer. It has 39,000 miles, 350, 4 SPD. Full float rear , and a dealer installed dump box. It came with new in the box front fenders, inners, doors, rear chrome bumper, and the original tailgate that was taken off right after it was purchased. It also came with the original purchase paperwork from the dealership. It's been sitting at my friend's farm for the 15 years I've known him, and he bought it from his neighbor, the original owner. Fresh fuel poured into the carb vent, and it fired right up.

I paid $800 for a clean running and driving 81 silverado in 2002. My first truck, but a terrible 2 barrel 305. Kinda wish I still had it because the truck was so nice, but at the same time I wasn't a real big fan of the color scheme. Dallas cowboys... meh

Truck I have now I paid $1500 for running and driving, 1 other owner, in 2011. But it was only worth $1,500 (probably closer to $1k) because it had a lot of problems that needed to be fixed.
