I stopped by a local parts store the other day to grab new u-joints for my truck, and I didnt realize there were two options; u-joints with 1-1/16" bearings and some with 1-3/16" bearings.

Do I need to rip mine out to determine what I have? or is there an easy way to know which ones to get?

Thx!

Most likely smaller ones if you have a 1/2t. Could just buy both and return the unneeded.

I like spicers best, but really can only find them online in my area as no one stocks them

I don't have the numbers off the top of my head but there is only 2 for chevy trucks a small one and a large one a 1/2 ton should be a small one. spicer is nicer. highdesertranger
