So a few that have been watching may have seen I had issues with a seal in the 4l30e I rebuilt. It blew from the inside out.

I can't find another one, seems to be very obscure

Along the seal face I see the numbers and letters

37117

HTC5Y

47.6 70

6.7 8.1

NOK

When I visit transTec, they have 2 numbers for it.
Under "metal clad seals"
Torque converter=

Legacy number= B37117
TransTec number = 0049365166
Ref number= 96015187

The only reason I'm troubling the kind individual that helps for information is, Im desperately searching around the web for a alternate number for a seal I can get at a local parts store, instead of waiting 1 week, or even longer for it to come from eBay, or wherever.

ANY help would be appreciated guys!

Normally I don't ask stupid questions like this because I'm capable of more than just "4L30E torque converter seal"

The issue I'm having is, every parts store I search, it's not the same seal, or they just don't have it

Take note of the pic I've attached.

This Is a torque converter seal for a GM 4L30E, from a 1999 Honda passport EX.

Thanks again!

With some calipers I'm finding,
The number 47.6 is 47.6mm (the ID)

The number 6.7 is 6.7mm, (thickness)
70 is 70mm (the OD)

Unsure of the 8.1

I found the same thing, that's the rear seal I believe. There's some confusion here

And there's identical ones that just don't bolt it.

I dont lke napa but they usually are good for finding stuff nobody else can

Admittedly it was the last place I'd think to look just because their crap is overpriced, but you're certainly correct.
Auto zone, advance, and O'Reilly all didn't have the seal.

I found it here on eBay, but there was obviously a wait period I'd have to endure.
Cheaper at that link I sent above. They normally ship same day if you order early enough and being in FL to NC I'd think you'd get within 2 days. I usually have my kits from them in OKC 2 days later if I order early in the morning.

I managed to find them thru napa for a little Under 3$ each, I went ahead and ordered 2...."just in case"

They're supposed to be at the local store.... I do appreciate it tho... Guess we'll see how this goes.
