Transfer case output seal leak?

Fresh rebuild np241, all seals and rear bushing are new.

After only 250 miles, the tcase was down 0.75qt. The pic area was cleaned and dry before going on a 25mi test drive and this is what it looked like after.

From what i can see the seal is still dry, case is dry everywhere, and the only sign of fluid was near the ujoint it was damp and smells like trans fluid.

Is this normal, from the looks of it, my old 208 must of leaked at some point too, but i don't want to have to add a qt of atf every 350 miles, that seem abnormal.

I used the output yoke from the 208, and i seem to have misplaced the 241 output, are they different? They didn't look like it, but i didn't measure either

Also the lithium grease hasn't washed away at all, i would think it would. But i must have a leak
