Trans Temp Guage?

Was just thinking... I've got a th350 in mine, and I do a lot of pulling, and hot rodding lol; would it be possible to run a trans. temp guage at all? I may be asking a stupid question so forgive me.:shrug:

You can either weld a bung in to the pan or use the pressure test port for sensor location

Can't you run an inline sensor on the tranny cooler line also? Not the return line of course.
