I've had more than my share of cars and trucks, never once have I needed to replace a throttle cable.

Mine too, engine fire forced me to get a new one years ago.

A crack in the insulator caused mine to rust into. Who knew a piece of speaker wire could double as a hand throttle cable. Adapt and overcome.

I'm not too worried about it breaking..If it does i will get better gas milage!!!

Changed mine about a week after I got it, the parts delivery guy brought it when I asked for a speedo cable, so I just kept it cause it was cheap.

I had one break on my 87 suburban but luckily i was only about five miles from home so i walked back and got my other truck and got a new one and fixed it.

I`ve had my 85 K20 since 1994 and i can`t remember replacing that one.
