Hey guys whats happening,
again not a square question but i belive it belongs here.

So i live in buffalo ny and as you all probaly know we get a **** load of snow and...salt...

My 03 sivlerado is still very clean, there were some minor bubbles i took care of but my question is.

What should i undercoat it with? Iv been debating por 15, and going to get rust stop, or heavy oil mixture and grease.

Im not sure what would be the best.

I would like all your ideas and thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks

Liam

I painted my entire frame with rustoleum with a brush nice and thick. Oilbased paint and now I'm going to undercoat the entire insides of the frame rail and cab. I think it holds up quite well. It's just a pain to paint upfront under the motor and such with a brush

IMO POR15 is the best out there but there are other good options as well.

Por-15 is the bomb. It is a little expensive but when you consider what you are protecting then it really saves money down the road. Google it you will find lots of vendors. Eastwood is one I know.

I know what you mean about the salt eating things up. I grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio. We had our share of salt there too. Tough to keep it looking good in that stuff. Lots of power waswhing the underside will help.
