I have a 1985 chevy c30 dually. For some reason after the truck has sat for a couple hours the rear wheels lock up. I can't go forward but i can go backward fine and usually i have to go backwards to unstick them and then i can go forwards. Any ideas? Also i am not using the emergency brake.

Could be brake fluid or axle fluid on the linings making it grab. Or a bad hose like towman mentioned. Plus we had that drop in temp this week after that storm, if you got water in there and it's damp with the cold it could do that. Mine does that a little bit when it is cold and damp, once in a while in the right conditions.

Also check to make sure someone didn't put the shoes in backwards. The "long shoe" (the one with the longest brake lining) ALWAYS goes towards the rear of the vehicle.
