Fairly certian the dimensions would be exactly the same as a 700r4/NP208 combo. I have that sitting in my driveway if you want me to get it.

I defeintly wouldnt turn the information down HR I am thinking you may be right

I was going to suggest you using your NP205 with that 60E but I don't think there is an OEM 80-E adapter, so you you'd have to go with an advance adapter and that will cost you the family farm. You're not doing any heavy mudding, so not likley you'd need the NP205 anyway, and have a shtty crawl ratio. I kinda want a NP205 for my 85K10. So if you think of some **** you wanna trade for it, lemme know.

What I'll do is get a straight edge and hold it against the tailshaft housing seal. Then I'll hook the tape on the front of the bellhousing, and drag it back straight to the yard stick. Its dark now.

Hope to be crashing soon too incase I get calls tonight. I have to work the other job from 10am to 9pm tommorow, then go back on call for the towtruck at 10pm. Slow night tonight. Only had 2 calls so far after 6pm.

Ahh, I found my drop light. I'd say 44 inches is accurate. That is front face of the bellhousing to the rear face of the Tcase tailshaft. That is NOT a fixed bolt on yoke unit. The output shaft of the Tcase sticks out of the tailshaft housing about an inch.

89-91 crewcab sending units
shift lever off of an 700R4 for mechanical shifter NOT cable
4X4 shifter for PS drop 241 Transfer case (suburban)???
4L60E Paper and rubber kit
Drive shafts ????????? probably have those taken care of but maybe not
DS Fender

What about your Driveshaft length? center of back U-joint too center of U-joint of the Front u-joint?

there isn't a readily available 700/205 adapter. i was just researching using a 400/205 adapter to put my 205 that's in my 80 behind by 80E.

just out of curiousity, why specifically 89-91 crewcab senders? no difference to my knowledge between them and an 87/88 sender.

I beleive the adapter for a 400 would work on a 4L80E, But my problem of using the 205 is the Speed sensor. I am not wanting to have to buy a speed sensor converter. And this truck is not a mud truck so the 241 will hold up just fine in my 85 1 ton

slip yoke eliminator, its also got a short rear output shaft, as well as a flange to set it up for a High Angle Driveline driveline brake.

I am not 100% positive, but those are interchangeable are they not? I know the 208 comes both ways, manual or electonic. What part goes on the 205 output shaft that the electronic sensor reads? Isn't like a notich in the shaft and the sensor counts the notch everytime I comes around? Or maybe a magnet in the shaft. I am green on that stuff, but you're right, I forgot about the 400 and 4L80-E being a match. But not all 4L80-E have the same pattern do they? Interesting. I'll look into and see. Or for what you're using the truck for, you don't need the 205 for strength, but having the deeper crawl ratio might benefit you better, so maybe I need your 205.
