Hi all, found this site & thought I'd join. I have a 86 suburban k1500 4wd I've owned for about 2 yrs . I picked it up off of craigslist for a nice price Needs a little tlc but don't they all . Po replaced the original small block with a targetmaster 350 & rebuilt the 700 r four tranny. runs Good but had some exhaust leak & carb issues which I just addressed. It's been non oped, but I'm getting it ready for the road this winter. Upgrade plans call for a 208 to 205 swap & either add beefier components to the current 8.5 axels on the cheap or find some 3/4 ton axels to swap in place so I 'll have a little bit better tire selection. my goal is DD & some mild trailing with it. no major abuse! here are some recent pics...

It looks great! I love the older Suburbans. Have you got an interior photo?
