Im new to this forum and I need some advice from other square body owners i have a stock 1979 C20 3/4 ton 4WD it had the old 16.5 wheels which i cannoth find tires for the life of me so a buddy of mine had a set of 8 lug 18" wheels with 305/60r18 tires does anyone else run this size my question is will they fit right without lift?

That equals out to 33.5 +/- tire.
Really depends on your rim width. I was able fit 33s on mine before on 1/2 ton leaves but when I switched from stock to 10" rims, they rubbed in the front. Now, with 4 leaves up front and 1.5 in lift shackles, I think it could clear 35s.

I'll just give my opinion, I don't charge much for it, so don't take it personal and I don't give refunds either so don't ask. I'd punt that **** !!! When it does come time to find tires, those 18in are going to cost you dearly. If you wanted to do anything, and you're OK with stock OEM wheels, I'd just look for a set of 16's off of a later model truck. Shipping would kill it, but I have a set I keep around. Even if I wanted custom aftermarket wheels, I wouldn't do an 18in wheel.
