You'll be sitting higher than me though.

I'm only around 4-5" of lift and i need to shim the front axle even with the double cardan driveshaft. Pretty good vibrations at highway speeds, very little on the streets.

Similar setups, but that extra inch or teo may set ya a little different than mine.
Good to know ill take driveline reading

Black rock rims made in usa come with center caps have a 3650lbs weight cap per rim and summit sells em for $94.50 each with free shipping over $100. I lucked out too because i was unsure of fitment so i ordered 1 and some misc bulbs to make the $100 free shipping mark and test fit 1 rim and it came with a $20 off your next purchace over $100 so i then ordered the rest of the rims and saved $20.

So i pulled my front diff cober to do a fluid change and good news it seems i have some sort of traction aid. Question is what is it and what fluid do i have to run was planning on regular 80w90. What should i run and do i need to ad some kind of additive? Im sure ill have a similar question when i pull the 14b rear cover later today. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Really loke this truck so far however it sure is a pain when looking up parts and fluids with the axle swaps of unknown origin.

Went with diy4x for my front and rear bumpers. And a 16.5ti warn winch. Pics coming soon. Need advise should i sye my np241c or np205 swap and if so how hard is a np205 swap i do not have a welder. And i have a 700r4 trans. So i guess my question is rebuild and sye my 241 or swap in a 205. And why? Thanks for any input.

Sweet looking rig you found and welcome to the site. Your 241 is a good t/case for general offroading, but since you have larger tires and if you plan on playing hard you may want to upgrade to the 205. there is a bracket from the factory to bolt to the trans to a 205 but they are hard to find. You might find one aftermarket but not to sure. no welding or fabricating to do. Your front diff looks to be some sort of LSD devise that has clutches in it so you should at a LSD additive to the gear oil. It also looks like you had some water intrusion since the oil looks a little milky. you may want to see where you breather tube is at for height and for cracks.

I have to say you're lucky the previous owner put the D60 in the front for you. that's a pricy upgrade.

Nice lookin rig there @mrgoodwrench!

What they do negatively is that the larger the block, the larger the distance, which means that axle wrap and torque on the center pin is increased. Too much axle wrap as well as poor ubolts, and you can spit the blocks right out of there./QUOTE]
I can attest to this being true. Happenend to me on my burb with 3" blocks. Sheared off the center pin and twisted the block right out. Happens quite often with the junk aluminum blocks.
