New and need horn help

Hi everybody, my son and I share my dad's 1982 GMC Sierra Classic "Lamont" named so because when we drove him home he was full of my gradmother's belongings covered in a tarp. Cue: Sanford and Son music. Got pulled over on the trip to ensure our load wasn't stolen but then the friendly officer confessed that Lamont reminded him of his SB from when he was younger and he spent a few minutes admiring our truck and reminiscing.

I have been having trouble finding a replacement for the flat concave disk that is part of the horn contact assembly. The kit that looks the closest to what I need doesn't list our year and model. Has anyone used this kit successfully for a 1982 or similar?

That horn contact kit appears to be the right one. There were minor variations over the years, but that spring plate was the same for all years.

Welcome aboard. Nice truck and its awesome that its now spanning 3 generations in the family. My best suggestion would be to buy that kit from a reputable seller with a good return policy and send it back if it doesnt work. Otherwise, ebay and craigslist for a part out.
