You see at first I was all in on ls swapping my truck. That's why i have made all the plans and done so much research. But the more I drive the 6.2 I really hate to get away from it. I'm really back and forth with it now. This is the 3rd 6.2 truck I've owned and really like them. I know the ls will likely double my power, sound better, not smell like a farm tractor and it seems my transmission is starting to act up too. Could spend 800-1000 on transmission rebuild or just spend a little more and ls swap. I'll figure out what's best for me I reckon. Was just hoping for some input from fellow square body lovers. If nothing else I guess this "Noob" created some "internet gold" for your enjoyment anyway.

My truck is roughly 425hp with a 4L65 and a 3.90 gear. I've got ~27k miles on the swap and on roadtrips, as long as I keep it below 80, I regularly see 20mpg. Mine's an aluminum 5.3 with 799 heads, 10.5:1 compression, a BTR stage 4 V2 truck cam and a 3000 stall converter. Other friends of mine with LM7s/4L60s and 3.73s see about the same.
Is the 4L65 computer operated?
