Well there were 4 Manual trans available. 2were 3 speeds one four wheel and one two wheel. Then 2 four speeds and again the same one fout wheel and one two wheel. Now as far what trans he most likely has would be the sm 465. I could be wrong but highly dought it.

If you count 2wd and 4wd, then were more than 4 models. SM465 and A883 were both available in 2 and 4wd so there is 4 models, Not sure if either of the 3 speeds were available in 4wd, but if they weren't then there is 6 different manual trans options in Squares. Only 1 of them being an OD option or 2, if you count both 2 and 4wd.

And where have you seen square bodies wuth allllll these manual trans. Cause all the ones i see on the road around the tri state and that ive owned only have had the transmissions i mentioned.

This is probably the 1 or 2 as you'd consider it since it's available in a 2wd version and a 4wd version. The illusive New Process A833 4 speed with Overdrive.

Classic industries now makes a swap kit for 73-87 gm trucks. the kit includes motor mounts to the frame and engine, & transmission cross member either for t56,4l60e, or 4l80e. classic industries also offers headers in mid length and long tube assortments.

So a few questions for you LS guys using a th350. How many of you are using the Dakota digital Sen.-01-4160 vss?
What does your factory engine harness look like? I plan on using part of mine to run my fuel pump (ep381 in 87 tank) and my starter. Good idea? Bad idea?
What are you getting for mpgs? I plan on retiring my gmt800 truck for the winter and driving this if it's done in time

Well big black is up an running. After 3 weeks waiting for a tank. All is good a lil loud but I can fix that. But great power an sounds good at idle as well
