Ya, you have to use the LEDs sparingly or at least comprehend the type of LED and the output rating to get it right without making it too bright and/or causing hot spotting like you have...

believe me i do comprehend leds lol. I just underestimated the refraction ability of these old bezels. I'll be swapping in some resistors to soften them up. this was just the first test.

Does the dimmer work on the LED's?

They're way brighter and the lights are blueish, also the dimmer works like a charm!!

GOOD FIND! Being that they'll dim would solve the brightness issues some are having. I wonder if they'll open the item back up for sale.

I see I see, but your comparing apples and oranges. The ones similar to the ones I purchased were 9 bucks each so I guess to each his own.
