Fuel problems

Yesterday I jumped in my truck to start it up and it wouldn't start because there is no gas in the (carb)bowl. It's was sitting for about 2 weeks from that last time I started it . I'm pretty sure there is gas in the tank. Is this a leak or is this normal? Carb need to be rebuilt?

It's and edelbrock 600 or 650 one of those

Also just put a new fuel pump on the other day so I'm pretty sure it's no that

Any help would be appreciated

Dump a little gas in th carb, and use that to fire it up and get fuel worked back up to the carb.
And yes, you may need to rebuild it...how old is it?

I'm not sure how old it is but I would guess about 5-10 years but not totally sure


It's the gas just leaking out of the bowl into the motor

If its that old, its worth a kit, just for piece of mind.
