Damn, and it's SRW Crew Cab !!! Nothing but headaches there buddy. I say give up now before you get to much invested in it. I can have a driver there in about 8 hours. My cuz lives in So Cal.

if you already paid the reg, ignore this, but if not, you can fill out a statement of fact that you just acquired the truck and ask for 50% reduction... ive done it for cars,trucks and bikes... ive saved a sht load on back fees

I've heard of this too in Cali. but never got to take advantage of it, since I've long left since I found out about it. You'd think they'd offer it to you since they obviously KNOW you are just getting titled into your name.

You didn't get hurt for the $1000 at all. Not to mention, it being a Diesel you're CA smog exempt. You'll make up that $1000 in a few short years in emission hassles and testing fees.
