Either look for a used performer.. Can get them easily $100 or less.. or some people have had good luck with the Summit ones for our trucks too.

Either look for a used performer.. Can get them easily $100 or less.. or some people have had good luck with the Summit ones for our trucks too.

I will look around for a performer. My current intake is a summit but it's a square bore and I'm trying to get rid of the adapter.

No it's like a summit stage 2 or stage 3 intake and I'm running a qjet with an adapter that I can't seem to get to quit leaking.

I picked up one of these for my truck too:

I will have to rework the fuel line but that is ok as I intend to put a inline filter before the carb.

Lots of Dallas folk use em. Heard good things bout em. Have my own guy tho, as I was on the quest for a cheap quality build. That I could haggle if I brought my own parts.

There is a guy here in town that owns a shop that makes weekly trips down there. He said if I bring him my heads, he will bring me back a set that has been rebuilt for another $165. Or there is a shop in town that will clean mine up for $175

Not worth it bud... blanes does good work but not worth that extra cash. I'd stick with the shop you have close by you. Or IIRC skip white has a set of heads for bout 3or 4 hundred. And they are aluminum.
