AC Delco...I think every one of us have had problems with just about every aftermarket plug. Save yourself some headaches...Keep the ignition all GM

Yeah, AC delco. Although I've had good luck with Accel and NGK too.

This reminds me of something that really bothers me. It seems that about any GM vehicle that comes into the shop with an owner-installed tune up has Bosch Platinum plugs installed. Does Bosch own all of the parts store chains or something? Why do they seemingly push those things?

BTW, do NOT run Bosch Platinums in a GM vehicle.

Back in the day, in our race motors, believe it or not, MotorCrafts were the way to go. AC Delco's fouled out quick, but then on our stockers, AC Delco was the only way to go. Auto Lites seem to run good in the Olds and Big Block Ford though. You'd think a spark plug is a spark plug, but nope, not true. It does matter. And for your stock or mild motor, I'd agree go AC Delco. I've always had good luck with Accel or MSD cap and rotors though WITH A STOCK COIL.

I'd go AC Delco wires too. You get what you pay for in wires. Pay the bucks, they are good, get cheap wires, you get cheap wires. Can't skimp on wires. Accel wires aren't bad either, but don't get the kind you cut and put your ends on, unless you are good at it and know for sure what you're doing. And do not get solid twisted wire or your stereo will sound like ****. Go with Carbon Core.

Was in oreillys the other day and over heard the salesman or what ever you wanna call him, recommending the plugs.

regulars are cheap! like 15 bucks for 8 and they have a rebate right now for 50 cents a plug and even more on the upper levels iridiums run the best but it really dosnt matter if your motor stock

as far as wires go autozone sold me duralast and they have been great so far.

I believe this has to do with profit margin. The chains make more profit per plug than others. I was told that at AZ once when they were trying to push oil filters. They'll push the higher profit margin items.
