Stuck the balencer on and a couple of pullys and painted the water pump bolts. Cue-tips work wonders when painting bolts.

I just realised i hadnt shown you my crossmember yet.

I need to get the engine and trans in before i can finish it, but here is how it sits

10" Channel for the exhaust loops, and 3" channel for the actual trans pad.

today i put the new valve springs in, they give me another .070 of lift clearance, and more seat pressure. I went from 1.17 solid height to 1.10.
And they are installed at 1.67"

Inside Diameter: .87
Outside Diameter: 1.25
Seat Pressure: 100 lbs. @ 1.725"
Valve Spring Style: Single Spring w/ Damper
Maximum Lift: .55
Solid Height: 1.10
Open Pressure: 280 lbs. @ 1.25"

Damn! You almost wonder if a dealer parts counter would have them and not cost an arm and a leg.

Ah, I was wondering if that might have been a GMPP part that parts counters might carry.

guess what santa brought me today.

:idiot: Santa doesn't come this time of year for one, and two, the fat bastard doesn't exist. If he did, and brought me a Pro Comp intake I'd whip his ever livin' ass for bringing me that junk.

Well OK, maybe they're NOT ALL junk, but just a tid bit of info and awareness so you'll KNOW TO CHECK IT. Those Pro Comp intakes are China built. It's very common that the runners DO NOT line up with the head ports very well, or they're very small. When you get your gaskets, flip that intake upside down, and match the gaskets up to the intake and see what you have in reference to how they fit the head side too. There's been several vac leaks that could never be found on users of Pro Comp. All said and done, it was the intake with mismatched ports. And then there were the ones where a guy could do some of his own porting and clean them to where they matched and fit pretty good. Just sayin', check out the fitament before you just slap it together. This common issue was several years ago, hopefully those ricers have gotten the mold casting figured out right now and they're better. Otherwise, if you get one that fits right, or make it fit right, they don't perform bad at all.
