So did you get the heads machined to handle the higher lift cam or are you just going to coil bind the springs until they break?

right now they will clear around .580-.6 lift, Its my spring thats the problem, i need a lower bind height, right now they are 1.17, and i need 1.1. But the retainers dont contact the guides.
And yes i still have to get different spring, but its easy to change them on the engine.

You sure about that? I'm pretty certain the spring seats need to be milled down for anything over about .480. And if you're using a 1:6 rocker, even less than that.

As i just said, right now they will clear around .580-.600. I never said they wernt modified, i just said that right now they WILL clear.
Yes, they have been worked.
And im using the 1.5 rockers right now, debating about getting 1.6's for the intake since they will clear.

And the problem with vortecs are the retainer to guide clearence, most are factory at .460-.480, but with a little work to the guides you can acheive more lift. I also had to open up my pockets cause my springs have dampeners compared to the single spring factory springs.

Did you go with a stock timing cover? or a aluminum? You not going to paint the valley?
