Ahhh man, we got a cheater. Linking to other sites. I know, sometimes is best and much easier and it looks like they got some good info put together there. But, I like home grown put together info better.

I assume you are talking about GM front axles Pops??? They are very obvious between the Dana 44 and Dana 60. Biggest difference is size of course. They aren't even close in physical dimensions. Here are a couple pics of Dana 60 fronts I have on my computer. These happen to be of a CUCV Dana 60 Front Axle.

Its not much, but here is a pic of a Dana 44 Front I found on my computer, and another diagram of the ID layout for Dana's.

I know, I know.

So Pops, did you ever make that swap for the Dana44 Front??? Just an FYI, you don't have to worry about someone making a mistake and selling you a $1000 Dana 60 front for a $100-$150 Dana 44. People who have a Dana 60 know what they got.
Also, anyone who knows of an 8 Lug Dana44 or 10Bolt Front with 4.10 or 4.56 gears in good used shape in close proxy to OKC, lemme know. D44 Preffered but 10B will work too for the right LOW price.

He said he would go ahead and trade me the Differential (10 bolt) for the Vortec 5.7 that has a lower end Knock, I also got him to bring the differential to me in echange i am going to throw in a computer and Harness for the Motor.

Ahhh, so its not a Dana 44. If you're trading scrap for it, no biggie. I'd run the 10B. Some won't saying D44 is a lot stronger. The jury is still out in many people's mind.

I got pics of the hubs and the rotors. Nothing of the pumpkin area or rear cover. That is cool its got manual hubs already.
Not sure if you aware, but the hubs interchange between between 10b and D44.
Either way its going to serve your purpose.

Just for comparison, here is a pic of a 10bolt front. Same thing you have on Old Blue except Blue probably has a wussy gear ratio and 6 lug hubs.
