I refurbed a dash once, it turned out pretty decent. I just vee'd out the cracks with a grinder, filled them with polyester body filler, sanded smooth, then sanded the whole pad with a DA and coated it with that cheap spray-on bedliner in a can. That stuff sucks as bedliner, but works great for this... it looked like a nice black dash pad. It could probably be painted any color after that.

I put a dash cap from lmc in my truck. The key is prep of the old dash. It needs to be super clean, and you might need to trim the new one a bit. Also get some extra adhesive.

Some pics of this process would be cool if you have them. We like doing how-to write ups with pics if you ever find something to add.

Even some before and after if that's all you have.

We'll take what you got. We love truck porn around here. Keep in mind, to be one of us, you have to post pics. We require it. Only rules on posting pics is no death of any type including animals and humans, and no nudity. Anything else goes. :Sumo:

I don't think I ever took a pic, and it was in the K5 I sold a while ago. I planned on doing another one soon though, I should be able to do a write-up on it.

I went the replacement Dash route. Got mine from Brothers. Took me a whole day to do the job but I cleaned stuff up, tied off loose wires and replaced all my bulbs at the same time.
