Who has a console/buckets in their reg. cab...? I found a nice console out of a Blazer, and some nice leather buckets out of a different vehicle that I can pick up for $105...($25-console $80-buckets)....I like the room with the bench seat, but I miss having a console to put things in, so I'm up in the air right now. Does anybody have buckets/console and regret switching from a bench?

I like the over head console. I'm thinking about putting Suburban Seats in my DD, I already have the center console from a Blazer, and I have the floor tabs to even out the seats, I just got too find the seats.

While searching around for consoles, I came across this "How-To" on an overhead console....I think it looks pretty easy, and the end result looks good...

This is a good idea and a good mod. I like it!

What year bucket and console are you going with? It is just out of a square Blazer or some other body style? I went from a bench to a "console/bucket" but mine are out of a 2002 Silverado and I LOVE it. The center "console" is the best of both worlds because it flips down when there is just two or less of us in the truck but flips up when I want to stick both boys in there with me. The modifications required to make this fit is extensive and I can give you more detail if interested in knowing what's involved. I keep meaning to do a write up on it an making it a sticky in the interior section but keep forgetting. Here's a pic...

Doing the OHC, definitely. With Homelink. I'm not going OBD2 so no DIC.

O77..that looks really good....:)....The console is out of an 80's Blazer and the seats were out of an '02 Alero....now that I think about it the "old" center console wouldn't look good with the "new style" seats......I'm really digging the looks of the OHC tho, and it looks simple enough that I could do that and just keep the bench for now. Then maybe later on, updating to buckets and either a newer style center console or having one built.....

Old77, do that write up. I want to go with either NBS or NNBS buckets in my truck when the time comes to tackle the interior. I want to do heated seats to make up for the picky heating system ion these trucks.

I will definitely do it then. I will try to have that posted by the end of the week and take some more detailed pics of the finished product. The heats leather seats idea is definitely a good one. It'd just be hard to find good leather seats at a reasonable price. I got my set for $250 about 6 years ago before the nnbs trucks came out so I'm sure they are cheaper now. Getting the heat hooked up is probably a matter of just wiring it up and putting a fuse in to handle the load. I'll get the write going and hope to have it posted by the end of the week. Maybe we can get manbearpig to make it a sticky.

You could probably even program it for your garage door opener. :grd:

Yes, you can!

Both my Blazer and Silhouette have functional Homelink. It's super easy to add and program. Some idiots on another board told me it couldn't be done in a 1991 S10.....heh heh heh:roflbow:

haha....i'm slow!!! I wasn't correlating Homelink as the same thing as programming it to open your garage door for some reason!!! So must a few posts up really looks silly. Ha!!! Don't I feel like a horses patoot :roflbow:

I always love it when someone says "you absolutely cannot do XYZ" and then you go out and prove them wrong. Makes them look like an idiot and it feels great!!! :D

Those seats look like something I need with my bad back. I have to have a good arch and lumbar support in seat or my back just goes to hill in about a 20 minute drive or longer.
