Hello everyone...I was putting a saddle blanket seat cover on my truck today when I found this paper on the bottom of the seat. It was between the spring and the cushion..it's pretty beat up but I can read some of the codes...maybe one of you could help me decipher what some of them mean?

What year truck is this from? It's evidently 1977 and later 1/2 ton since it mentions the Silverado package and 15 inch rally wheels plus the interior hood lock.

Sounds like someone in the past may have put a newer seat into the truck.

Any idea where I can find this info on my truck? Its not in the glove box that label is gone. Where else do they have this kind of info on our squares?

Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing. The GM media archives only go back to 1976.

Wow, that's the first build sheet I've ever seen from a truck! I always thought they didn't use them. Seen many in cars, but they didn't get SPID labels.

Nope - trucks got build sheets.

Any place where parts were built up or trimmed out in a remote area of the plant: seat (cushion room), axle line, motor line, body, trim and chassis all had their own sheets.

Usual locations are in the seat, under the carpet, inside the door or behind the headliner/A pillar trim, under the dash pad.

They were supposed to all be thrown away at the completion of the build but often it was easier to just build the truck up around them and leave them in place.

Any chance your truck was built in Oshawa?

GM of Canada has information for vehicles either built in Canada or built in the US for Canadian sale.

I will have to check inside the door...the dash pad I think has been replaced in this truck....the seat and door panels are camel tan and the dash pad is dark brown...I think the entire interior has been replaced...this is just for my curiosity. The fender emblem says it's a super custom and so does the dash pad, I am just trying to verify what trim it originally had and the colors. Thanks for the info[emoji2]
