its such a nice swap chris. he used the kit from off road direct. bought 80s front leafs soft ride 4" lift and found a dana 60 ford axle with a high pinion. you could use a cehvy axle but you have to flip or swap the t-case. but i love the SAS

I know it man it's awesome. You do have to swap t-cases or you can get the PS drop 241 used in the late model square body burbs. I would go the exact same way, using the e-z ride springs or soff ride ones up front or maybe some rear 52's off a 1/2 ton. I heard they may be too flexy for daily driving on road though.

Only thing worries me is steering and brakes, plus having to mix match wheels or swap somethings to get em to match.

I could probably find the front end, and use my t-case but the parts to use for brakes and steering I aint sure what to use, and the online kits aint cheap, I could save for ever and get the bolt in SAS kit, it's cheaper then an IFS lift.

SAS is the way to go with IFS trucks. Dont know why chevy hasnt figured out IFS sucks yet. Especially in the Dmax trucks. Go solid axle.
