So I keep running this idea thru my head, I'm sure some of you have seen the k5ton build that's in progress,

But I have another project I want to do once this ones done.

Either a supercharged 55 rat rod truck, or something like a 73-75 chevy c10.

Im talking a 496 stroker, 8-71 up top, I don't care if I have to run methanol to reach my goal, I want 1000 ft ibs of torque.
Either a well built nv4500 on the floor, or a good solid manual valve body th400.
Rear end of choice is kinda undecided at this point, thought maybe a 14b ff, but that might be too wide, I'd have to shop around for one.
No cam decided. Figured I'd reach out to one of the big name's and give em the run down and look at suggestions.
I have my eye on some promaxx cnc heads that have the 360cc runners, those I may very well end up putting on my 502.
We'll see!

Thoughts?

Going to tub it? If not, you really don't need a beefy rear axle, just some upgraded parts in a stock housing. I don't think you'll ever be able to get it to hook hard enough to break it. I could be wrong though.

Nah, everything stock, besides some frame support to keep it from twisting.
