For my 88' Suburban with 350 but it fits most all of our trucks.

I found one video of the glasspack system and am not too fond of the sound. I would like to here the turbo muffler system. $240 is an awesome deal for a full dual system from the manifolds back.

Right now I'm running single 3" all the way back, no CAT and a Thrush Welded muffler. It sounds good but I want something different.

When I bought my truck, it came with the dual turbo muff kit installed. It sounded ok, but not as good as my long tube header + glass pack setup.

Was it very loud? How much louder are your current glass packs, a lot or just a little?

I currently have the lmc dual exhaust setup with stock mufflers, its only 4 years old and already has two massive holes in the bottom of each and all the exhaust clamps and hangers sent with are rusted so bad they they'll need cut off. The pipes are still good though ha

I'm not concerned with rust I live in AZ. I would just like to here their muffler system vs the glass pack system.

Glasspacks and duals are loud. It used to be a sound that any car guy would appreciate, but it's a bit more of a unique sound anymore. Everybody started wanting the Flowmaster sound and modern V8 engines sound more mellow (generally).

I still love the sound of glasspacks.

I like that old school crackle sound and a nice decel pop but I just don't want it so loud as most dual glass pack setups I've heard.

I was thinking about a longer glass pack, they make a 35" one and I'm thinking that would be more quiet than say an 18" glass pack.

I ram 36" duels on a 327 with 2.25" pipe. It barked pretty good but as a teenager it was fun!

Only the louvered style flow horrible, I have the perforated style. Instead of the cupped edges inside to catch exhaust flow mine is smooth with holes drilled. I've seen flow tests on both and yes the louvered style flows like half its pipe diameter but the perforated is much better.

And sound is a personal opinion so I'll have to disagree. And most glass packs you here are the shorter ones 12" or 16", my 30" sounds way different.

The more I drive with this set up the more I'm liking it. It's got a quiet rumble at idle and cruising speeds but wakes right up when I get on it.

Sounds great bro. I am also looking for a new exhaust set up at the moment as well. Presently I have a flowmaster 40 with dumps and it just pisses me off. I am probably gonna get the sound out the rear and gut the cats and go from there.

On my 86's 350 sbc I have hooker headers that go to duel 3" pipes and two cherry bomb pro mufflers that are ran out the sides behind the rear tires. It sounds fantastic IMO nice and deep rumble but still pretty loud, without being too loud.

like these:

My new to me 83 has stock manifolds with Thrush mufflers and a cross pipe. I really don't like this too much, they have a "tinnier" sound to them, without a real "ring" like my other set up does.
