I have Sanderson shorties on the 454 in my Blazer, they fit perfectly with no modifications so I would think their SBC headers would work well. Super nice, quality product.

I will check that brand out thanks!! Do your headers dump out in the middle like a ram horn or do they dup out the towards the back ?

They dump in the rear, by the lower rear corners of the block. Plenty of room though, no interference issues with the starter, oil filter or hydraulic clutch parts.

Do you think these might work? the passenger side is what concerns me.

Honestly, I have no idea. I haven't run an SBC since the 80's (literally) and never with manifolds. Looking at pics of the Hooker part number I can say that my BBC headers are longer than a manifold.

I think I would rather run those than shorty headers, but still prefer long tubes.
For fitment issues do a search for "Hooker exhaust manifolds" on this site.

Not exactly "shorties" but definitely not long tube but excellent quality... I'd prefer long tubes but no such animal for our K10's Holly sucks ass since they bought out every performance company basically on the planet Hooker no longer builds a Big Block long tube large diameter header set for a K10... Some have said vintage Chevelle/Nova headers will work but I'm not dropping $1000 clams to find out they don't !

We used Hedman Standard Duty Black MAXX Ceramic-Metallic Coated Mid-Length Headers on a SBC 355 with Vortec Heads. Collector connections are kept high as we did not want the exhaust to hang low.

Why go with a short type header? There's not much to gain over an exhaust manifold. IMHOP. I went with a Summit long tube on my K-10. But I'm the guy that does have shorties on my 04 2500 HD. I went with them because I didn't want to spend the $$ for new cats and messing with the factory SS exhaust. I have had issues with them cracking around the tube welds. They are a big brand name. I went with them because they are 13/4 " I'll try and find the part numbers.

Not to be ignorant but we have just a 1987 350 in our truck I have the factory style manifolds but they ugly as hell. All the emissions ports are all plugged off. We are looking for something to add some sex appeal and not look like crap. I have been looking and factory style manifolds are damn near if not more than the headers. We not looking for performance or anything just wanna make her pretty. The truck is a 2wd long bed. Any suggestions.
