LMAO. Ok, ok, you win. I don't know if it matters but my truck was originally silver with a burgundy/maroon insert. The emblems look OE, and haven't been painted. 1979 1 ton Crew Cab Dually.

The rust probably started where the limo lights were screwed on.

Now....to get pointers on how one actually polishes these badges up cuz I’m still not certain how one goes about that

Dremel has to make something I would think. Maybe a regular polishing pad on a grinder motor?

I may do some researching into dremel extensions then. I’ve only used my dremel to cut plastic or metal and the little sanding extensions so I’ll have to see if they have little polishing pads lol

I always use #0000 steel wool and do it by hand, then wipe it down with a soft wash/polishing rag.

They do make little buffer wheels for the Dremel.

Dremel does make polishing wheels. I had one for mine but can't find it. Lol
