Yep, they are available bucket. But as you can tell, they are not as easy to find, and the people that have them want good money for them. If you can get those dizzies for $15 of so Retro, I'd bet you get easily get $45 on ebay. I'd get all 4, and list 1 a week so you don't saturate and run the price down. MIght even do a $50 Buy it now on them and get it. People will pay more to get in NOW and not have to wait to see if they win the auction or deal with other bidders.

That is fascinating. A 4.3 TBI and a HEI dizzy on this motor, that would be real cool.

Mid 60's. Jus about any I6 head from 71 maybe even up 72 won't have the smog holes, and older the better for compression.

TBI uses a dizzy that plugs into the puter. They had the small cap with remote coil.

Yeah, but use the 7 pin ignition module from an 85 tpi Vette, lock up the advance weights, disable the vac advance, and bwamo! Efi I6 dizzy! or, yu can use the small dizzy module, and remotely wire it up.

Wow, that's it?! So that should work to convert any large-cap GM HEI dizzy then?

In the 1960's Pontiac produced a high performance straight six engine. The Pontiac Tempest ( I think ) used them. The Tempest was similar in size and weight to the Chevy Malibu. I don't know how similar the engines were to each other. They may have used the same engine block but with different cam, heads, pistons, intake, carb (4bbl),and exhaust.
It might be cheaper to put a SBC in it.

I have a feeling you're talking about the 4cyl fuel injected high performance Tempest Motor. I've got a buddy with one in his car that his dad built in the late 70's. If you're interested in seeing a pic of it, I'll post a pic. But I'll warn you, it'll shock the living dog **** right out of you. I'll give you a hint, its a 4cyl Tempest motor that runs 10's in the quarters. I've seen and touched this car in person, and seen video's of it running on the track.
