Good afternoon guys, I am totally new to the world of trucks I have owned many mustang and Monte Carlos but this is my first time with a Square body. My daily driver is a 2003 Trailblazer and I am now a proud owner of a fully resoted 427 powered 78 stepside. I am taking delivery of it tomorrow and I am very excited. I wanted to join a forum that is knowledgable and will be able to teach me the ways of the square body. Looking forward to learing alot!!

Welcome to the forum, and ya IM jealous of that engine!!!!

The heating system was removed from my truck. Any advice on reinstalling heater core and fan into the truck.

Post pic of under the dash on pass side and firewall pass side to see what’s been removed or chopped.

Looks like bondo and a plate, as long as its not welded, id look for a stock system to put in, when i rebuilt mine i had no trouble just freshening up my exciting vent system with putty paint and weather stripping, now it works like its fresh from the factory.

Be sure to snag the harness for an air conditioning system, or for a heater only system, assuming the po took it out during the rebuild

Ok so the truck came with a ton of paper work and I don’t know if this picture helps but the paper work said that it’s a 1969 427. I also looked at all the heater things and just a few things are missing not what I initially thought. Again thank you for all the help.
