1974 heater air flow

I have the factory heater with new motor and heater core all new seals no leaks the motor runs all the time on low and the air flow sucks . is there any way of upgrading the heater motor or fan to get better air flow???and by the way I have a dealer ad on air in it help

Some years had the fan run all the time. Somebody with more knowledge will probably come along with more details of which years.

Have you ever cleaned out the cowling underneath the screen? Or the duct work?

Mine flows just as well as any new vehicle

make sure your ducts are clean. jump 12v straight to the fan, does it blows good now? make sure you have a good ground. highdesertranger

found out today the heater speed switch is bad only runs on low hear is the ????? will a heater control and switch out of a 85 work in my 74?

it could be the switch or it could be the relay or the resister. check everything before you start buying parts. highdesertranger

ok switched out my heater controls for the one out of a 85 and man it works oh so good I have heat and defrost and can change fan speeds and turn it off it is just like sex only cleaner
