Standard ratios are 2.73, 3.08, 3.42, 3.73, 4.11, 4.56, 5.13 you wont find 3.90. The ring gear outer diameter should have the tooth count of the ring & pinion stamped on it, divide them together and you'll get your ratio.

As C4 said, its not 3:90. I'd say likley 3.73's. :waytogo: 3:90's were in the old old early sixties 1/2 ton trucks with drop out 3rd members.

Ok. Thanks guys I rotated the input shaft and it took 2 complete 360 degree turns to rotate the axle once so I figured around 4:10 ish

You should rotate the tire one revolution and count how many times the pinion or driveshaft spins.

Yep, you have a 4.10 peg legger if it spun just a nats ass over 2 full turns.

 I think he meant he turned the pinion yoke 2 full turns to the one of the axle Curt, Same/Same, its not an installed rear end yet, so I doubt it has tires on it yet.

I guess I read it wrong, like he turned the pinion one time and the axle/brake drum/whatever turned 2 times.
