I couldn't sell mine for $150 in the local ad bulletin. 2.73, 3.08, 3.42 and 3.73 are common ratios, you might find one someone put deeper gears in like 4.11s. If it's just open diff, less desirable ratio like 3.08 (most common) but complete hub to hub you should be able to get it for less than $200 up to $250 depending on condition. If it still looks painted and new and no leaking axle seals it would be worth more, but if you gotta beat and pry for 2 hours to get junked brake drums off I wouldn't give more than $150 for it. Which is what pisses me off, mine is in great shape just no one around here is needing one.

By "our" I assume you meant "your". Mine has 3.73 Richmond gears on a factory limited slip, with new brake drums, wheel cylinders, brake hardware, shoes, park brake cables in great shape, brake lines are new, always used antiseize on the wheel studs, even put the lug nuts back on them to protect them. That's why I cant figure it out, NO ONE called for them, I just guess no one around here has any money. I have a front 10 bolt too with matching gears, open diff, but I've started robbing parts off it for another project I'm working on, driver's side hub/spindle assembly, shimmy shock and 4" lift steering arm are gone.

You should be able to find a 12 bolt rear end for around $125 from a individual or $180 to $200 from a junkyard.

I agree. And $100 for a 10 bolt rear end. I say $300 for a rear end is to much.

And that doesn't mean the items weren't worth what you asked, to some people, but as I say to everyone, the ACTUAL CASH VALUE of anything is what someone is willing to spend on it, and everyone wants a deal, so most things usually don't sale for their Stated Value. Big difference in Stated Value and ACTUAL CASH VALUE.

eww that sux. You took a big hit on the ATV for it being that new and with mods too. Damn. Sorry to hear it. But I know how it is. I've had it rough in the recent past too. Sold something for much less than I wanted, but I had to look at it like, take my loss, but it saves my house and which is more important??? It wasn't a tough thought. This guy knew he was getting a steal too. It wasn't a matter of value, he liked my price, but just didn't have the funds himself and he was going out on a limb, and I know its true. He's a good guy though, and he deserved the break, and it helped me out too, so it worked for us both. :)

As long as the gear ratios are the same, yes.

$300 was a tad high, but $100 for both is a steal. I'da got those even if the gear ratios weren't what I wanted. You've got well over $100 in parts, like drums, hubs, axles etc if you find another set later on and break parts. You know what gear ratio they are?
