    Yes, I agree. The bed is still very short though. Unfortunately the owner who is selling it is another one of those jackasses that can't decide on a price and then says he'll call you back but doesn't.

    It's not in California anymore. Apparently the owner took it to Florida and ran it out of oil. Other than the engine it looks really good. I think I can get it for about $1000.

    Remember these? This old compass is still in the box and works. The mount requires drilling into the dash though so I won't be using it. Judging from the image of a tailfinned car on the box I'd guess this is from the early 1960's.

    got any more photos of your Camper Special? Hi Green, Have you got any more photos of your Camper Special? Did yours ever carry a camper? I think part of the reason mine survived so well is that it had one on the back for most of it's life and it kept the bed very clean.

    What have you done to your square lately??

    My factory AC stopped working and in Florida during the summer it's a necessity. Rather than replace the system I was able to get it going again with an R12 replacement that I bought on Amazon. I never heard of synthetic R12 but it worked and it's been blowing cold for two months.
