    I know this is a dumb question but can I change a Dana 44 from 8 lug to 6 lug? I'm trying not to have to change rims. No big deal if I can't, just being cheap!

    Put in new plugs and Jegs 8.5 mm wires. Runs great!

    I moved it to the alternator bracket. It was in a different place on the engine. All the other grounds are good.

    Fixed it! I moved to negative ground to a different spot and she fired right up! I had checked and cleaned that spot that's why I thought it was ok.     Rainy right now so no video. Could this be something with the ingnition switch or lock cylinder? The lock cylinder has been a little hard to turn. It doesn't always turn smoothly.

    I got the remote starter and still the same problem. I got a new starter today and still won't start. So within the past few days I replaced the starter, battery, and both cables and still cranks over like the battery is very weak. Timing was good when it was running. Anyone have any suggestions...

    Yes. I tested it in the parking lot before I got it started. When the truck did start it spun nice a fast.

    I replaced both battery cables, new battery, new starter, and it still cranks over very slow like the battery is on it's last legs and won't start. It had been running fine before hand. Timing is set right. What else can I check?

    Rear axle question.

    Maybe. I'm looking at car-part.com which is a listing of junk yards. When I punch in what I'm looking for, the 4X4 axle doesn't say what it is. Meaning 10 bolt, 12 bolt or what. The 4X2 tells f.f. Or s.f. rear. Guess I'll just have to call them.

    I'm upgrading my axles. Right now I have a pair of 10 bolts with 3:08s. I picked up a Dana 44 with 4:10 gears out of a 3/4 ton, 8 lug. I found a full floater with 4:10 gears for $250.     Put on a new caliper and pads. Did the driver side bearings because they didn't look too good.

    It really sucks how bad some of these parts are. I have a little less than 4K on this caliper and that's why I thought it was the wheel bearing.
